Many travellers may not be aware that since 2011, TSA has offered a pre-screening program for frequent travellers (at participating airports) who meet a specific set of criteria, such as US citizenship (including nationals and lawful residents), members of “trusted traveller” programs (see photo above), and all US armed forces members.
